Re: Superintendent and Change.org Petition
I write to you on behalf of the Huerfano School District Board of Education. The Board is aware of a Change.org petition calling for the removal of Superintendent Robert Howard based on alleged misconduct. While the Board recognizes and agrees that individuals have First Amendment rights, the type of statements in the Change.org petition are careless and unsupported by facts. There is no place in public education for such false and libelous rhetoric.
The Board wants the community to know that Mr. Howard has not engaged in the misconduct falsely alleged and that it continues to support him as the District’s Superintendent.
